Catania, is famous for its lively atmosphere, rich history and delicious cuisine. Dominated by the majestic Etna volcano, it offers a unique combination of culture, tradition and natural beauty.
The adventure, fun and discovery of this tour begins with a relaxing journey across the slopes of Etna, the highest volcano in Europe, reaching an altitude of 2,500 meters above sea level. From this altitude you can enjoy a splendid view of the three Silvestri craters with the lava river formed following the eruption.
You will have time and opportunity to walk around the crater. Subsequently the tour will take you to Tenuta San Michele, an ancient estate located on the slopes of the Etna volcano.
You will then continue downhill until you reach the splendid coastal city of Taormina, one of the pearls of Sicily. Taormina is a famous tourist resort that offers splendid views of the eastern coast of Sicily, but above all it hosts its most famous symbol: the Greek Theatre, testimony to the ancient Greek civilisation.
Taormina offers an elegant central alley lined with fashion shops, mouth-watering desserts and of course monuments dating back to the Middle Ages.
The next stop will be Catania, explore the lively historic center and let yourself be enchanted by the architectural beauty, as well as the colors and sounds of what is probably the liveliest city in Sicily.
The symbol of the city is the lava stone fountain surmounted by an elephant with an obelisk on its back, called 'Liotru', which protects the city from disasters.
This fantastic day has come to an end, it's time to return to your accommodation.
