After pickup at your accommodation, the adventure of this tour begins with the journey to the town of Cortona, depicted in the Academy Award-winning film, "Life is Beautiful." The prevailing character of Cortona's architecture is medieval with steep, narrow streets located on a hill, embracing views of the entire city.
Your adventure continues, crossing the border with Tuscany, you will suddenly see the large lake welcoming you to a new region, Umbria. Half of Trasimeno is surrounded by hills, full of olive trees which constitute an important agricultural resource. On the coast near Tuscany there are vineyards, fruit and vegetables. There are also three islands in the lake.
The final stop on this adventure will be Montepulciano, the largest and highest of southern Tuscany's hill towns, with its medieval alleys of Renaissance palaces and churches, it is best known for producing fabulous food, drink and wine. The fields around the city produce a ruby wine with a purple and orange-tinged scent called Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
